NewsLondon’s tallest building is predicting 50 proposals across its six world-class restaurants and bars, five-star hotel and viewing gallery this Valentine’s Day. With a (recorded) total of 1,566 hopeful romantics popping the question at The Shard in 2024, equating to a proposal every six hours, it has become one of the most popular places in London to get down on one knee.
The hotel even has a dedicated team to help make the moment as magical as possible – The Proposers, as seen on E4’s Will You Marry Me? On hand at Shangri-La The Shard London all year round, the world’s first luxury proposal company has helped more than 5,000 couples say “Yes!”, offering a host of packages that can bring any proposal to life. Viewing gallery, The View from The Shard also offers a proposal package including exclusive hire of The Shard’s highest floors.
To celebrate, The Shard will be lighting up the London skyline with a giant heart for the first time. “Love” will be in the air from sunset (5pm) until midnight on Friday 14th February.
On Thursday 13th February, The Shard offices hosted Raw Bloom Flowers – selling beautiful bouquets and single-stem flowers – and artist and fashion illustrator Elyse Blackshaw – who personalised an exclusive range of Valentine’s Day cards ready for loved ones.
