Hutong
Red Lantern Series: Occasionally Fiery, celebrates over two decades of Northern Chinese cuisine with a limited-time menu from 27 April to 28 June 2026.

The series pays tribute to the original Red Lantern dish that first brought Hutong into the spotlight and helped shape its legacy.

Inspired by the GuiZhou red lantern chilli at the heart of Hutong’s culinary identity, the menu explores the depth and complexity of Sichuan spices through six curated dishes:
• Red Lantern – Crispy Soft-shell Crab with Sichuan Dried Chilli
• Crispy Lobster with Sichuan Dried Chilli
• Steamed Mandarin Fish Fillet with Sichuan Red & Green Peppercorn
• Flaming Wagyu Beef Char Siu
• Lau Fau Shan Oysters in Sichuan Chilli Pepper Broth
• Hutong Style Steamed Aubergine with Chilli Sauce

Each dish is presented in Hutong’s signature lantern baskets, balancing heat, aroma and presentation. The menu offers guests the opportunity to discover the spirit of Hutong’s origins, where the symbolism of red lanterns, the vibrancy of Guizhu chilli and the artistry of Sichuan spices come together in a menu that is bold, theatrical and as always, occasionally fiery.
