In 2027, a landmark programme of improvements will introduce a reimagined arrival experience and an exciting collection of new amenities for The Shard’s office community.
The programme will build on the qualities that have made The Shard one of London’s most recognisable buildings, creating new spaces designed around how people arrive, meet, work and connect.
The project is led by architect William Matthews, who was a key member of the original design team at Renzo Piano Building Workshop, leading the design of Shard Quarter and The Shard from concept through to completion. Renzo Piano, the architect behind The Shard, is overseeing the project, bringing a direct connection between the building’s original vision and its next chapter.

The Shard recently welcomed members of Central London’s office agent community to a series of exclusive events, providing an opportunity to experience the newly available office space and hear more about the next chapter at The Shard.
Across three breakfast events and an afternoon drinks reception hosted by retained agents Knight Frank and Newmark, agents were invited to explore the space and see the workspace and views first-hand.
The recently refurbished Level 10 offers 20,075 sq ft of office accommodation, with uninterrupted views across London and three winter gardens providing fresh air and dedicated breakout space.
Guests were also given the exclusive opportunity to preview Level 26, currently under construction and due to complete in November. The new office space offers showstopping views across London, giving agents an early look at another exciting addition to The Shard’s office offering.
