“London Bridge is an authentic and energetic neighbourhood, making it an exciting place to work and visit. At The Shard we look to support the local area through a number of initiatives every year, giving back to the local community. We are grateful to all the employees from businesses at The Shard, who have worked together to provide a record-breaking number of gifts this year.”
The London Bridge Community Christmas Gift Collection has seen over 43 local businesses come together to donate 1,700 gifts for local charities. The collection which started in November, is an annual local tradition with local employees donating gifts, then volunteering to wrap and deliver.
“This amazing amount of gifts will bring festive joy to many for whom Christmas can be a lonely, challenging time. The generosity of the London Bridge community gets greater every year and it’s not limited to Christmas time. Our Responsible Business programme goes from strength to strength thanks to the CSR commitments from local businesses and our friends in The Shard.”
