In January 2016 The Shard announced its second letting of the year to global digital marketing agency Jellyfish who are now located on Level 22.
Working with Workplace Creations, who are based locally in Bermondsey, the fit-out project took six months to complete. See the office space transform in the time lapse below.
The functionality of the office was three fold; providing bright, comfortable spaces for the agency's training courses to take place, accommodating 50 permanent staff that would include the Creative and UX teams from their Reigate office, Jellyfish CoNNect staff and an area for collaborative, flexible working internally and with clients.
Rob Pierre, CEO of Jellyfish commented prior to the move “The business has seen significant global growth over the past three years and we’re confident that this move into The Shard will further galvanise growth and success for our business.”
The move was an essential part of the company’s development plan. Due to the growth and success of the business they have expanded from their offices in Reigate and Brighton to London Bridge where they selected The Shard, London’s first Vertical City as their new UK Headquarters.
“There was only one office in the area that our CEO Rob had his heart set on and that was The Shard! It ticked all the right boxes for us and certainly had the wow factor we were looking for.”
The location for the new HQ was of high importance to the CEO, and after viewing the available office space he said London Bridge would offer a great central location giving easy access for clients and staff to get to.
With views of Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf to the east, London Bridge station, Bermondsey and Crystal Palace to the south and The London Eye, St Paul's and the Thames to the west, Rob also commented on the incredible views and that he could clearly see the potential of the space.
“This was going to be an incredible workspace in the sky.”
In a recent interview with Campaign Magazine, Mark Deeprose and Rob Pierre commented on their decision to move and the impact it's had on their staff and themselves.
“For the staff it's been incredible, including myself. From the first day I walked into the office I was literally overwhelmed.”
