Wellness Week at The Shard

News

Last week The Shard hosted Wellness Week – a vibrant celebration of health, wellbeing, and community connection – and a firm favourite in the annual calendar of events, exclusively for occupiers. From revitalising fitness sessions to calming therapies and boutique pop-ups, the week offered something to nourish every aspect of wellbeing.

Kicking off the week, occupiers embraced energising Pilates classes from Movement Collective, known for their holistic approach to fitness and mobility. Meanwhile, Martyna Borek led Vinyasa yoga sessions overlooking London, offering a moment of calm and focus amidst the bustle of the working day.

The much-loved Cuddle Club came to The Shard with their trained therapy dogs, giving occupiers a chance to unwind and enjoy a little four-legged affection. These sessions offered stress relief and plenty of smiles.

Midway through the week, wellbeing specialist Sarah Williams-Robbins led a guided Wellbeing Walk, inviting participants to step away from their desks and explore mindfulness in motion in the London Bridge area, taking in the views and reflecting on the importance of balance in our everyday lives.

The Shard Boutique pop-up featured Third Space Tower Bridge with a dumbbell challenge and samples from Natural Fitness Food, Kiehl’s with a range of luxury skincare products and complimentary consultations, Penhaligon’s scent experts and unique fragrances, and Southwark Care Leavers selling t-shirts hand-designed by local young entrepreneurs, with proceeds supporting their growth and development.

It was a perfect blend of luxury and local, supporting both personal care and community impact.

The week concluded with immersive scent profiling sessions by Penhaligon’s, allowing participants to explore the relationship between scent and mood. Each attendee walked away with a bespoke fragrance recommendation and a deeper understanding of olfactory wellbeing.

Wellness Week at The Shard brought together occupiers across industries and disciplines for a shared experience of self-care, mindfulness and connection.
