Proud to Support Earth Hour 2022

Earth Hour, News

On Saturday 26th March 2021 at 8:30pm, The Shard will switch off the spire lighting for one hour to support WWF’s Earth Hour.

The Shard will unite with other landmarks and millions of people around the world in a global display of commitment to tackle urgent environmental issues and protect the planet.

Started by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and partners as a symbolic lights-out event in Sydney in 2007, Earth Hour is now one of the world's largest grassroots movements for the environment. Held every year on the last Saturday of March, Earth Hour engages millions of people in more than 180 countries and territories, switching off their lights to show support for our planet.

Join The Shard team and take part by switching off your lights at home from 8.30-9.30pm. Visit the Earth Hour website for more information, plus a link to the My Footprint app where you can complete challenges and discover how to make a difference, one step at a time.
