THE SHARD HAS CHRISTMAS WRAPPED
The Shard occupiers donated over 500 Christmas gifts at the beginning of December for London Bridge charities.
As part of the London Bridge Community Christmas Gift Collection, an initiative organised by Team London Bridge, The Shard’s staff and businesses donated, wrapped and helped to distribute 520 presents to community groups in London Bridge.
Volunteers wrapped donated presents over two days in The Shard’s reception area. The collection, which measured 155 metres laid end to end (half the height of The Shard) was distributed to:
- Bede House
- Manna Centre
- South London Cares
- Age UK - Stones End Day Centre
- Cool Tan Arts
- Time and Talents
- Boermund Centre
- Blackfriars Settlement
- Camberwell After School Project
- Riverside Parents and Carers Association
- Age UK – Healthy Living Centre
- Look Ahead Southwark Young People Services
- Salmon Youth Centre

The London Bridge Community Christmas was the most successful yet, bringing over 20 businesses and their employees together to help local charities. In total, 1703 gifts were donated, wrapped and distributed across London Bridge.
