SOUTH HOOK FIRMS MOVE INTO THE SHARD
Two more office tenants have moved into the Shard - South Hook Gas, the largest importer of liquefied natural gas (LNG) into the UK, and South Hook LNG Terminal, the London office of the regasification facility in Milford Haven, Wales.
The firms' new offices on the 28th floor were officially inaugurated on Friday, June 6, by His Excellency Dr Mohammed Bin Saleh Al Sada, the Minister of Energy and Industry in Qatar, at a ceremony attended by the Right Honourable Michael Fallon MP, the UK Energy Minister.
Also at the ceremony was the Lord Mayor of London, Fiona Woolf. She said: "We are delighted that South Hook Gas is here and also that it can access the many different services here on its doorstep. They make a huge contribution to energy security in the UK."
This year is a milestone year for South Hook Gas and South Hook LNG Terminal as they celebrate their fifth anniversary since commencing operations in 2009. They both said they were proud to call the Shard home and were looking forward to being part of the London Bridge community.
