SNOWSCAPE AT AQUA SHARD

This festive season, aqua shard is launching its annual Christmas tree in collaboration with world-renowned multi-sensory design studio, Bompas & Parr. Together they have created ‘Snowscape at aqua shard’ which takes inspiration from an ornamental snow globe and The Shard’s distinguishable angular shape to create the tree with swirling snow inside.

Bringing the outside in, ‘Snowscape at aqua shard’ will be adorned with wild, frosty branches reaching up through the atrium, and surrounded with a base of natural forest foliage as though transported in from a winter woodland. Guests will also be able to interact with Snowscape, by reaching inside the structure to catch a golden snowflake and be entered to win a cocktail or a private dining experience.

aqua shard has also created a bespoke ‘Snowscape’ cocktail and dessert to be sold throughout November and December while the tree is on display. The dessert is a rum and coconut parfait, with a delicate white chocolate sphere with white chocolate powder, mimicking the snowflakes inside the tree. The cocktail will be served inside a snow globe, and will be a cool mix of Plantation 3* rum, homemade coconut cordial and Becherovka liqueur.

This year, aqua shard has also partnered with Magic Breakfast, the UK charity providing nourishing meals to children who arrive at school too hungry to learn. From the 21st November to 5th January, aqua shard will add an optional £1 to every bill, and 50% of sales from the special Christmas cocktail and dessert will be donated to Magic Breakfast.

All entrants to the Golden Snowflake competition must be 18 and over, the prize must be redeemed by the end of March 2019 and is subject to availability and cannot be exchanged for cash or an alternative.
The Golden Hours will run at from 11.30am - 12.30pm and 5pm - 6pm Monday to Friday (weekends not included).
