SHARD REVEALS INSPIRING FIT OUT CONCEPTS BY JUMP & PRINGLE BRANDON
The Shard’s new series of inspiring interior design concepts. Workplaces have the power to exude the ethos of an organisation and foster cultural change. They are rapidly becoming the new battleground in the war on attracting and retaining talent in such a competitive market.
We’ve partnered with two international interior design firms to create a series of design concepts to inspire people to think differently about how and what work spaces can be. They are designed to help people picture the future opportunity for their brand, and the positive impact it could have on their existing staff and their ability to attract the best talent.
Jump Studios – an ambitious collective of architects, designers and makers focused on challenging conventions and redefining boundaries. Their clients include Google Campus London, Nike, M&S, The Engine Group, RedBull, Rapha, Innocent Smoothies, Yahoo!, Saatchi & Saatchi and Bloomberg.
Pringle Brandon Perkins+Will - one of the most successful design practices in the UK and EMEA. Their clients include News UK, Allen & Overy, Barclays, BskyB, Deloitte Digital, Linklatters, Macquarie Group, Thomson Reuters, Unilever and Microsoft.
In keeping with The Shard’s multi-sector community (our 26 office occupiers span 14 different business sectors) this series of concepts have been designed to appeal to a range of businesses, from fashion and consumer brands, creative, tech and media, to professional services, consulting and finance.
Below we give you a flavour of the first concept in the series – BOUTIQUE by Jump Studios.
BOUTIQUE
INSPIRATION: An office design concept inspired by London’s premium boutiques.
IDEAL FOR: Companies who wish to convey a sense of prestige and desire with a desire to recruit the best and the brightest.
THE CONCEPT: A contemporary space that that excites and elevates both employee and visitor.
Bespoke - Refined details and bespoke furniture
Individual - comfortable, intimate settings, personalised space
Quality - High quality sophisticated
DESIGN FEATURES: Simple, restrained palette of materials and colours. Elegant curtains to divide spaces. Perforated screens as walls. Frames and showcases create clusters. Furniture as suspended elements.
