NEW 900-SEAT THEATRE TO OPEN NEXT TO POTTERS FIELDS PARK
Announced by former National Theatre bosses Sir Nicholas Hytner and Nick Starr, the brand new 900-seat theatre next to Potters Fields Park is expected to open at One Tower Bridge in 2017.
The London Theatre Company has commissioned Stirling Prize winners Steve Tompkins and Roger Watts of architecture practice Haworth Tompkins to create a thoroughly modern space that encapsulates performance giving and watching. The flagship theatre will offer more comfort in its modernity, and will become a real magnet for culture-lovers everywhere.
The One Tower Bride development will see much needed rejuvenation creating footfall, jobs as well as cultural offers uniting the borough of Southwark. Development is already in full swing and we look forward to watching the development evolve.
