SHARDTALKS PLACE: EXPERT PANEL ANNOUNCED
The latest and final ShardTalks event – ShardTalks Place will bring together 250 of London’s business leaders and start-ups to discuss London's most exciting and emerging creative neighbourhoods.
Uniting experts from diverse backgrounds, including business consulting, entrepreneurial start-ups, corporate and destination branding and social enterprise, the event will focus on the role of place in shaping progressive companies’ reputation, culture and commercial success.
Chaired by Emma Tucker, Deputy Editor of The Times, the panel will include:
• Iqbal Wahhab OBE – a social entrepreneur, businessman and founder of Roast Restaurant and Cinnamon Club
• Simon Williams – Chief Growth Officer at leading brand consultancy FutureBrand
• Peter Richardson – Managing Director of international recruitment and consulting firm Protiviti
• Bindi Karia – Founding Partner at NewCo and “The Queen of Start Ups”
The debate will concentrate on London's most exciting and emerging creative neighbourhoods - what defines them and what makes them so attractive to progressive companies, tech start-ups and entrepreneurs. It will examine how companies are using location to shape and enhance their employer brand, with a view to attracting and retaining top talent.
The expert speakers will also explore the fragmentation of traditional clusters – the move away from outdated business districts to new, emerging hot spots, what typifies them and what is driving demand for them as sought-after places to work.
Finally, the panel will consider the impact of new businesses and professionals moving to a location – how it evolves and shapes the atmosphere and reputation of an area, and how companies are wanting to be properly integrated and make a positive contribution to the communities in which they are based.
ShardTalks Place is now fully booked but you can follow the online conversation from 6.15pm Thursday 5th November on Twitter - #ShardTalks and @TheShardLondon.
