LEADING FINANCIAL FIRM ARMA PARTNERS MOVES TO THE SHARD

Companies at The Shard

Mergers and acquisitions advisory firm Arma Partners is the latest in a varied and vibrant collection of forward-thinking companies to become citizens of the Vertical City, making The Shard and the London Bridge Quarter their home.

Two more financial firms - global valuation expert Duff & Phelps and private equity investment manager Foresight - are here too. Leading energy company South Hook has two divisions here. Al Jazeera Media Network runs its European output from The Shard, joining another media giant, News UK (The Times, The Sun, HarperCollins, The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones) next door in The Shard's sister building, The News Building. Also in The Shard is intellectual property law firm Mathys & Squire. And they will soon be joined by Warwick Business School, private hospital group HCA International and the jewellery retailer world-famous for its 'little blue box', Tiffany & Co.

Another global organisation has made The Shard its European headquarters: Arma Partners, which provides mergers-and-acquisition and corporate-finance advice to the communications, media and technology sectors.

Based in New York, Palo Alto and London, Arma Partners specialises in international deals. After an extensive market search, the firm opted to relocate its London office from Mayfair to The Shard, taking 10,500sq ft on level 27. After a two-month fit-out, staff took occupation at the end of August.

“'WE ARE RELOCATING TO THE SHARD DUE TO THE QUALITY OF OFFICE ACCOMMODATION, WHICH WE BELIEVE WILL BE IMPORTANT IN ATTRACTING AND RETAINING THE BEST BANKERS IN EUROPE AND BEYOND”

We are relocating to The Shard due to the quality of office accommodation, which we believe will be important in attracting and retaining the best bankers in Europe and beyond,' said Arma Partners Managing Partner, Paul-Noël Guély. 'The Shard itself reflects the importance of London within the world’s capital markets… in line with our own positioning as a fast-growing, innovative firm. It is centrally located with the City, Mayfair and Canary Wharf only minutes away.'

Such reasons for relocation are an example of the way forward-thinking firms are selecting workspaces Neil Prime, Lead Director of Jones Lang LaSalle's UK office agency, said, 'The Shard offices not only provide inspiring work environments, in an internationally recognised building of great architectural distinction, but also that rare mix of social, transport and business infrastructure in the surrounding London Bridge area.'

Arma Partners joins an incredibly diverse range of companies who have already leased space at The Shard, including intellectual property lawyers, a venture capitalist, a global media brand, a New York-based investment bank, the world's largest hospital group and an international energy business.
