INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LAW FIRM MATHYS & SQUIRE MOVES INTO THE SHARD
This week law firm Mathys and Squire moved into level 15 of the Shard, and is looking forward to experiencing all that London Bridge Quarter has to offer.
Paul Cozens, Partner, at intellectual property law firm, Mathys & Squire believes the move will be good for business and staff: "We believe that relocating to The Shard will provide a great working environment for our growing team of talented professionals.
"We are continuing to expand rapidly and build up an enviable client base which includes the likes of BP, Chelsea FC, BT and the BBC."
Mathys & Squire is the first law firm to move into The Shard, which is located at the heart of increasingly popular London Bridge Quarter, the vibrant and rapidly growing district on the southbank.
The London-based firm, which was established more than a century ago, has experienced a period of rapid growth, with its turnover increasing by 50 per cent over the last five years.
The move has enabled the firm not just to accommodate its current team of more than 100 London-based staff but to accommodate further growth plans. Paul Cozens said, "We have taken the fifteenth floor with a view to sub-letting a portion of it until our planned expansion occupies the entire floor."
To facilitate the London office development, Mathys & Squire has signed a fifteen year lease, for the fifteenth floor of The Shard (28,500 sq ft) overlooking the fantastic 360 degree views of London.
Mathys and Squire is one of many forward thinking businesses who have leased space at the Shard and London Bridge Quarter, including: The Times, Dow Jones, Wall Street Journal, Harper Collins, News UK, Al Jazeera, Duff & Phelps, Foresight, South Hook Gas and HCA.
