AL JAZEERA MOVES INTO THE SHARD
Al Jazeera Media Network has this week completed its move to The Shard, and is settling into its world class broadcast studios for its international news channels.
The global media network will run its European news gathering, current affairs programming and live evening news output, including Newshour and The Listening Post from the 16th floor. The channel reaches 270 million households in 35 countries. A team of news producers and journalists, technical, operational and creative staff is now working with state of the art technology and broadcast facilities. In total, over 100 employees are now based at The Shard across 27,800 sq ft of floor space.

The Qatar-based Al Jazeera Media Network, which moved its European operation from Knightsbridge, comprises the flagship Al Jazeera Satellite (Arabic) Channel, Al Jazeera English Channel, along with several other TV channels, websites and the Al Jazeera Media Training and Development Centre.
