The Shard Marks National Poetry Day with The Poetry Takeaway

During the event, organised in collaboration with Team London Bridge, The Shard occupiers, commuters and passers-by were treated to free, personalised poems written live by professional poets from the takeaway van parked outside the building.

From heartfelt verses to thoughtful reflections, the event brought creativity and connection to the London Bridge community. The collaboration aimed to make poetry accessible to everyone — transforming everyday moments into something memorable, one poem at a time.
