Occupiers meet The Shard's Security Spaniels

Thanks to their incredible relationship with their handlers, Terry and Joe, combined with their extremely sensitive sense of smell, Scooby, aged eight and Jhunu, aged four, are employed by The Shard to provide a secure and protective presence around the building.

The detection dogs are specially trained to sniff out any potential threats in and around the site, helping to ensure the continued safety of both occupiers and guests within the building. 

Prior to their patrol, The Shard office occupiers were offered an exclusive ‘meet and greet’ with Scooby, Jhunu, and two pups-in-training. Attendees watched an informative film regarding canine search before a demonstration, followed by questions and of course, cuddles.
