Seasonal Safety Awareness at The Shard

Attendees heard from Nick Morant, Director of Security & Community Safety at Team London Bridge, with helpful tips on crime prevention and travelling safely. Providing recommendations for Safety Apps and further sources of information regarding domestic abuse and drink spiking, Nick also covered things people can do to help others feel safer when they're out in public. 

Occupiers were also able to participate in a self-defence class featuring advice and techniques on how to break away from a threatening situation. Lead by Monica Walker, Dayang Isa in Classical Arnis Martial Art, attendees left with knowledge and confidence.
