Marmalade Mania Spreads at The Shard for Paddington in Peru

news

Occupiers are going paws-itively wild for the release of Paddington in Peru in cinemas from Friday 8th November.

Last week, The Shard hosted a marmalade toastie and hot chocolate van outside the building, serving occupiers, commuters, and London visitors tasty treats.

Some lucky London commuters had a surprise visit from Hugh Bonneville who plays Mr Brown, Paddington’s beloved guardian.

Having settled with the Brown family in Windsor Gardens, in the Paddington 2 film London’s favourite bear worked several jobs to save money to purchase a present for his Aunt Lucy's 100th birthday – including cleaning the capital’s highest windows at The Shard where Mr Brown’s office is located. See the film to find out which London landmarks feature this time before their adventure to Peru.

Visitors to The View from The Shard can purchase a range of 18 Paddington-themed items, including books, toys, and a plush bear, from the gift shop after enjoying panoramic views of the capital and a ‘Ticket to Paddington’ cocktail, complete with the famous bear’s charming paw print to garnish (see picture above).

Inspired by Paddington’s latest adventure, Shangri-La The Shard, London, are serving a combination of chocolate from Peru and Britain’s finest orange marmalade in their Chocolate and Orange Marmalade Cake. Visit TĪNG on Level 34 to enjoy with a cup of hot cocoa until Sunday 17th November.

Alternatively, try Mr Brown’s Marmalade Tipple high in The Shard at GŎNG Bar on Level 52. The cocktail mixes Ceylon Arrack, Agricole Rum, Rooibos, Honey, Marmalade and Absinth.

Those looking for more Paddington-inspired treats can visit Oblix on the 32nd floor. The restaurant will be serving up three limited-edition themed cocktails, including a Marmalade Martini – delicious!
