As spring approaches, Shangri-La The Shard, London prepares to mark the new season with the launch of a nature-inspired ‘Bees in Bloom’ Afternoon Tea in collaboration with the luxury jewellery brand Alex Monroe, with its design workshop and flagship boutique located in nearby Snowsfields.
The new bee-themed afternoon tea is set to create a ‘buzz’ with enchanting hive-inspired hotel decorations and an exclusive gift voucher for guests to redeem on jewellery pieces at online or in the two Alex Monroe boutiques. With a signature bee pastry made using honey from local Bermondsey Bees, the proceeds from each tea sold will raise funds for Bees for Development, a charity working to reduce poverty and increase biodiversity through beekeeping in some of the poorest nations.
Alongside the tea, guests can enjoy a Honeybee Spritz Cocktail, with a rum and lemonade base complemented with fresh and flavourful notes of lime, mango, strawberries and chilli-infused honey.
