The Shard Lights Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

27 September 2023

Shangri-La Hotel

Eyes across London will turn to the Shard on 1st October as the iconic building lights its spire pink as dusk falls to mark the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For the third year, the building has collaborated with Shangri-La The Shard, to turn the spire pink to raise awareness of this special month and the bravery of those affected.

As The Shard’s spire turns pink Shangri-La The Shard, London is also launching a Pink Sky Brunch, Pink Afternoon Tea and Pink Garden mocktail in a new partnership with Breast Cancer Now, the UK’s leading breast cancer research and support charity.

Guests visiting Western Europe’s highest hotel during Pink October will discover artistic pink installations in the lobby inspired by feathers and neon, while fresh pink flower displays throughout the hotel create the ultimate ‘Barbiecore’ moment.

Helping to raise funds and awareness for the charity, the new Pink Sky Brunch will grace the tables at Sky Lounge, the hotel’s weekend casual dining setting on Level 34 of the Shard, while the hotel’s popular annual Pink Afternoon Tea, this year in delicate shades of pastel, will return to TĪNG Restaurant & Lounge on Level 35.
