The Shard Shines Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

The Shard, Shard Lights, News

The Shard's spire lights will be lit pink on the evening of Saturday 1st October 2022, to mark the beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Throughout October, in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Shangri-La, The Shard London will be decorated with pink blossoms, ribbons, and pampas and neon pink art installations designed by McQueens Flowers.

Taking centre stage is their popular Pink Afternoon Tea served 35 floors up above the city of London in TĪNG Restaurant and Lounge, with a percentage of proceeds going to Guy's Cancer Charity.

A range of delightful pink cocktails and mocktails are also available in TĪNG restaurant, BAR 31 and GŌNG bar.

In addition to these events, and available year-round, HCA Healthcare UK has a diagnostic and outpatient centre within The Shard, offering a rapid One Stop Breast Clinic with examinations and tests in one appointment, providing initial results on the same day. Visit the HCA Healthcare UK website for further details.

Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nahar Khalisadar, is featured in our Meet the Occupiers series here.

From 4th October - 6th November, TING will once again turn pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with splendid pink décor and a special Pink Afternoon Tea featuring pastries designed by three breast cancer patients from Guy’s Cancer. A percentage of proceeds from each Pink Afternoon Tea will be donated to Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust to support Guy’s Cancer ward.
