Cointreau launches Alfresco Terrace at The Shard’s Bar 31
Celebrating the arrival of the warmer weather, this June, Cointreau has teamed up with Bar 31 at Shangri-La The Shard, London, to launch a new Summer Cocktail Terrace. Serving up a host of seasonal Cointreau cocktails and frozen margaritas, the terrace will offer Londoners a prime new drinking spot in the heart of the city.
Located on the ground floor of The Shard, the new Cointreau Terrace will feature eye-catching tropical orange blooms, a mobile bar and parasols to relax under on sunny afternoons. Bespoke Cointreau Margarita Bikes will also be stationed at the terrace for guests to hop on and cycle away to whip up their own frozen margaritas - the ultimate summer refresher.

Bar 31 is a great spot to unwind over a few drinks in the heart of London Bridge. Serving local craft beers, a fantastic range of spirits and wines, and tasty snacks made using the best ingredients from Borough Market.
Loved and consumed by millions, people around the world celebrate the mix of Cointreau, tequila and lime juice with a plethora of different takes on the Margarita cocktail. Margaret Sames, who created the Original Cointreau Margarita in Acapulco famously noted “A Margarita without Cointreau isn’t worth its salt”.
The ideal destination for afterwork drinks and weekend get-togethers, for summer 2022 only, visitors to the terrace can choose from a selection of seasonal Cointreau cocktails on the menu (£11 each) including: the Mandarin Spritz with Cointreau, Clementine, Rosemary and Prosecco, Margot with Cointreau, Tequila Blanco, Pink Grapefruit, honey and fresh lime and Litchi with Cointreau, chile liqueur, Lychee and fresh lime. In addition, craft beers and wine will be available to order, alongside sharing plates, Pizette and bar snacks for guests to tuck into.
Running throughout the summer months, the Cointreau terrace at Bar 31 is here to transport everyone from the bustling city streets to a new drinking haven where they can sip and celebrate the season in style.
