COSTAR MOVE EUROPEAN HQ TO THE SHARD
CoStar, the market leading provider of commercial property information will move to The Shard before year end.
The move to level 26 in The Shard will allow CoStar to consolidate two London in the West End to The Shard and allow for significant expansion.
CoStar will thrive from The Shard's connectivity and become a central meeting point for CoStar's customers across London as well as excellent transport links through London Bridge Station to London airports and therefore the company's offices in Germany, Spain, Glasgow, Manchester and France.
“WE ARE EXCITED TO BE TAKING SPACE IN THIS ICONIC BUILDING. THE MOVE REFLECTS A NEED TO HOUSE OUR GROWING TEAM AND THE NEED TO SERVE AN EXPANDING CUSTOMER BASE IN LONDON, THE UK AND EUROPE.”
Giles Newman
Managing Director, CoStar Group Europe
The letting follows news earlier this month that Mitie Group have leased the whole of level 12 and Foresight Group agreed their second expansion within the building.
The Shard has played an instrumental role in the transformation of the London Bridge area, which has undergone a significant change over the last 15 years. London Bridge station, the fourth busiest station in the UK, has received significant investment including the remodelling of the concourse to accommodate increased footfall and the creation of new connections. These improvements – which will increase capacity in peak hours by 30% and enable the station to bring 75 million passengers into the city each year – have undoubtedly increased the attractiveness of the area for businesses.
“THE RELOCATION OF OUR EUROPEAN HEADQUARTERS TO THE SHARD REFLECTS THE IMPORTANCE WE PLACE ON GREAT PROPERTY AND WE EXPECT IT WILL HELP US TO PROVIDE AN EVEN MORE COMPREHENSIVE SERVICE FOR OUR CUSTOMERS.”
