SHARD WELCOMES INVESTMENT GROUP FORESIGHT AS LATEST TENANT

Companies at The Shard

Foresight Group, the leading independent infrastructure and private equity investment manager, has become the latest business to move into the Shard - and is looking forward to benefiting from a base in the vibrant London Bridge Quarter, along with the superb transport links the location offers.

Foresight relocated its UK head office into purpose built offices on Level 17 of the Shard last week - with Group Chairman Bernard Fairman saying the building was a perfect fit for the company.

"With the recent rapid growth in our business, both in staff numbers and in assets under management, the opportunity to relocate to the Shard has been compelling," he said.

"It has excellent transport links and is located in one of London's fastest expanding districts with a vibrant mix of culture, history and modern living. The office space offers a blend of modernity and efficiency and we believe these factors will be a great asset as we continue to grow our business."

Foresight, which was previously based in Sevenoaks, Kent, and has offices in Nottingham, Rome and San Francisco has been managing investment funds on behalf of institutions and private investors for 30 years. It has more than £1.1bn of assets under management spread across 20 funds including Listed Vehicles, Limited Partnerships, Enterprise Investment Schemes (EISs) and Venture Capital Trusts (VCTs).

Foresight joins fellow London Bridge Quarter tenants including The Times, Dow Jones, the Wall Street Journal, Harper Collins, Al Jazeera, financial advisory and investment firm Duff & Phelps, law firm Mathys & Squire and hospital group HCA.

As well as the Shard, Western Europe's tallest building, London Bridge Quarter includes the Place, home to media firm News UK, and London Bridge Station, which is used by more than 55 million passengers each year.

LBQ is acting as a catalyst for regeneration of the London Bridge area and will generate 12,500 jobs, with a million people enjoying The View from The Shard in its first year, and thousands more visiting the restaurants, hotel and offices, securing LBQ as a vibrant new district for London.
