The hotel is supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month with pink-themed décor, afternoon tea, cocktails and more to raise funds for the breast cancer ward of Guy’s Cancer.

This October, locals and holidaymakers alike can support Breast Cancer Awareness Month with rose-hued dining at Shangri-La Hotel, At The Shard, London. Available from 1st October to 8th November, a portion of the proceeds from the pink provisions available at TĪNG Lounge and Restaurant, GŎNG Bar and Bar 31 will be donated to the breast cancer ward of Guy’s Cancer, the hotel’s charity partner. The hotel will offer a special Pink Afternoon Tea, blush cocktails and themed dishes, and will be flushed fuchsia with pink theming and decorations in observation of the month.

 

 

PINK AFTERNOON TEA FOR A CAUSE

The hotel’s special Pink Afternoon Tea was inspired by the journeys of four incredible women, Gina, Maggie, Mandy and Michele, who received breast cancer treatment at Guy’s Cancer. The group also named the pastries, which are featured on the tea’s top tier. Served Thursday to Sunday in TĪNG Lounge and Restaurant, the tea is priced at £69 and includes a choice of a glass of Laurent-Perrier Rosé Brut or a Pink Lady cocktail made with pink gin, champagne, lemon juice and grenadine. COOL PINK AT GŎNG BAR

London’s highest hotel bar in Western Europe will prepare the Cool Pink cocktail. Priced at £21, the cocktail marries red rice sake, Aperol, citrus, orgeat (a syrup made from orangeflower water and either barley or almonds), bitters and Champagne. GŎNG’s pink offering is rounded off with a Loch Duart salmon and avocado maki roll, topped with salmon tartare priced at £14.

PINK DELICACIES AT TĪNG LOUNGE AND RESTAURANT

In addition to the Pink Afternoon Tea and Pink Lady cocktail, TĪNG’s menu will include a delicious dill cured Loch Duart salmon, accompanied by citrus dressing, cucumber and kohlrabi relish priced at £14.

PG&T AT BAR 31

Local hotspot Bar 31 will offer a PG&T, or Pink Gin and Tonic, featuring Hayman's Sloe Gin, peach brandy, Campari, Amaro Montenegro and light tonic for a refreshing twist on this classic British favourite. The PG&T will be served throughout the month and is priced at £13.
