MID-AUTUMN MENU AT HUTONG
Celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival at Hutong this year from Monday 25th September to Sunday 26th November.
Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most important Chinese festivals, falling on the fifteenth day of the eighth month in the lunar calendar during a full moon. The festival is a time for gathering, thanksgiving and praying to honour the lunar deity, Chang’e known as the Moon Goddess of Immortality and her husband Hou Yi, a hero who was excellent at archery.
Hutong is celebrating the festival with a five course Chilli menu , highlighting the ingredient integral to Sichuan cooking that it is known for, available from 25th September – 26th November during lunch and dinner for £70 per guest.
Also, during the week of the festival, from Monday 2nd October – Sunday 8th October the menu will include complimentary chocolate mooncakes, Hutong’s take on the mooncakes traditionally given at Mid-Autumn Festival, to honour the moon.
